The Virgo Lunar Eclipse came and lingers still before the partial solar eclipse in Aries. Considering we’re all carbon, our bodies are feeling the movement of the stars and luminaries, too.
Virgo rules the digestive system and thus the enteric (gut-brain connection) system. It’s involved in how our minds process information, our own curiosity and nitpicking tendencies that often end up affecting our nervous system, too. When there is an eclipse, there is a lot more energy abounding all at once. It can feel like we’re flooded; like our minds won’t turn off. (I’m a Virgo Rising. I feel it in my every pore and core). We tend to ruminate and overthink to the nth degree and it feels terrible. The fatigue, the interrupted sleep, the knowing we should shut it down, but can’t seem to.
That’s where plants like valerian, lavender or cedar can come in. All three, earthy, fragrant and calming.
Whether you try drinking Valerian tea before bed to help soothe that insomnia; rub lavender on your pulse points to alleviate the agitation or stand near a cedar tree and run yours hands over it and allow it to purify and protect: all of these plants can provide much needed support.
So, no, it’s not just you, but hopefully this gives you some ideas for how to get through this bombastic experience.
If you’d like to learn more about how plants can hold you up and carry you through healing and finding balance with a small group of others, there are still spaces on our Glimmers course starting this Saturday, March 22! You can also sign up for individual sessions, if you need the flexibility.
