All Hallows

This year I anticipated All Hallows as much as my daughters wanted candy. Sweeping my altar; lighting candles; sourcing rare photos of my passed on elders; making tea and playing the music they would have listened to: brought them closer than ever.

Perhaps it’s because I have gone deep into their realm of plant healing, but I could sense them so close at hand.

It’s believed the veil is thinnest at that time of year and I am so glad for it. To be able to lean in and listen close to the wisdom of those that walked here before and who remain to be a guide, blows candy to smithereens.

The days grow shorter and the frost has now arrived (it killed my basil- my own fault for not harvesting it sooner). With these longer nights: I read more, envision, and listen as best I can.

The good goods are coming. I hope you’re ready for it.
